About Strive
Strive is an online coding school for kids (8-16). We help students start and commit to their coding journeys by making coding fun and exciting. We focus, above all else, on making the process of learning joyful.
- Our mission is to make education more joyful and meaningful. We are starting with coding, but our goal is to redefine STEM education globally by creating the platform and content to teach math, science, and other subjects through coding.
- We’re a remote-first company with teachers and employees from South Africa, Singapore, India, the USA, and the Philippines.
- We’re a well-funded startup backed by YCombinator and early investors of Spotify and Facebook.

Role | Program Manager for After-School Activities
At Strive, we teach coding CCA (Co-Curricular Activities) at various international schools in Singapore, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Program Manager who can not only manage the logistics but also deliver lessons when needed. Many kids find coding boring, many more are afraid, and even more think they are not "smart enough" to learn it. These kids risk being left behind in an increasingly tech-driven world.
As Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to transform kids' lives by fundamentally reshaping their confidence and perception of coding. Through your guidance and leadership, students will experience 1-2 joyful hours per week where they’ll discover not only that they are smart enough to code but that the process itself is incredibly fun. You’ll oversee the logistical aspects of the programs, hire, manage and train instructors, and ensure that the students receive high-quality, joyful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Management: Oversee and coordinate all CCA coding classes happening in Singapore, ensuring that each session is well-organised and runs smoothly.
- Substitute Teaching: Teach CCA classes as needed, particularly when a replacement is unavailable for a teacher who needs time off.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain processes to monitor the quality of teaching delivered by the instructors and share feedback on how to improve, ensuring a high standard across all classes.
- Learning Environment: Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students participating in the program.
- Recruitment & Training: Assist with recruitment, training, and ongoing management of a team of coding instructors.
- School Partnerships: Liaise with school administrators to integrate coding into their extracurricular offerings, ensuring alignment with school goals.
- Parent Engagement: Occasionally conduct parent information sessions to promote enrollment, understanding and involvement in the program.
